Celebrating 5 years of Caring - A Luncheon for Samaritan House

Samaritan House opened the doors to guests at 3424 Park Road on Tuesday, March 1, 2005.

Samaritan House is unique to Charlotte, North Carolina and the nation.  From the beginning, the co-founders, Ruth Woodend and Freda Schlaman, made the decision that the house would be run for the sake of the guest needs, instead of funding guidelines.

Samaritan House survives on donations from individual contributors, local businesses and community groups, outreach programs and grants.  Samaritan House does not take funding from local, state or federal agencies, nor from insurance agencies or hospitals.

Samaritan House is able to celebrate its 5th anniversary because of people like you reading this article.  You recognize that everyone should be treated as an individual, and that everyone deserves compassion and respect, without judgment.

To celebrate our anniversary, the Samaritan House Board of Directors your company is requested at a luncheon:
