Samaritan House is 501(c)3 non-profit, grass-roots, inter-faith ministry, but not affiliated with any church or religious/faith organization. We do not ask for, nor receive any local, state or federal funds/grants. We are supported in whole by the faith community, individuals and a couple of grants. We count on our repeat and new donors to make our services available to the community.
PLEASE HELP. Your tax-deductible donation can provide services for a month, a week or a meal. See example below:

Donate Stock
Stocks may be donated to Samaritan House at any time. If we keep the stocks, we will give you a letter of their value as of the day of transfer.
- If we liquidate the stocks, we will provide the actual value on the day of sale.

Our Wish List
Any wish list items should be delivered, or shipped, to Samaritan House between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Few wish list items are one-time needs; the majority are needed on an ongoing basis.

Samaritan House is located on the YWCA Central Carolinas Park Road campus. From Park Road turn into the YWCA entrance and parking lot. Samaritan House is the red brick home surrounded by trees.
Office Needs
- We need all the same things a small office needs. These include:
- Ink and toner for the printers: (HP Officejet pro 8500, HP Laserjet 3030, HP Deskjet 812c, Epson Workforce 30)
- Paper, pens, label sheets, note pads, file folders, a small tool kit for household jobs, etc.
House supplies:
- Single sheet sets; cotton/polyester
- Single bed pillows
- Twin mattress pads and covers (plastic covers that can be sanitized)
- Towels, hand towels and washcloths
- Cleaning supplies
- Latex gloves
- Paper products such as paper towels, toilet paper, plates, napkins, etc.
- Anything you would need in your own home, we need on a larger scale
House repairs:
- A window mounted heat pump for the living room
- Small electrical work for minor items
- Small plumbing tasks, faucets, sink, etc.
- Drywall repairs
- Window insulation in winter
Guest needs
- Mens and Womens Bedroom slippers
- Mens 2-piece pajamas (Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Womens sleeping gowns (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Flip-Flops (all sizes)
- Unisex Hooded Sweatshirts (Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Unisex Sweatpants (Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Small/travel size deodorants
- Disposable razor blades
- Travel sized shave cream, shampoo, mouthwash (non alcohol), toothpaste, etc.
- Soft brush toothbrushes
Medical needs (all need to be new and unopened)
- Synthetic gloves
- Gauze bandages
- Tape
- Antibiotic creams
- Ibuprophen
- Tylenol (generic)
- Aspirin
- Cortizone cream
- Tums (or generic)
- Multivitamins
Planned Giving
Including Samaritan House in your will establishes a legacy of compassion.
Discussions about planned giving can be scheduled at any time. Determining what gift is right for you is just as important as making the gift. The correct plan for you balances what you wish to accomplish for yourself, your family, and Samaritan House in your overall estate and financial plans.
